Rebecca's Reel Quilters

Poricy Park is a Nature Conservancy in Middletown, NJ, with a pre-Revolutionary farmhouse and barn on the property.  The name of the Guild is derived from that of Rebecca Murray, wife of Joseph, who lived in the farmhouse at Poricy Park.  Rebecca's Reel Quilters was founded in 1986 by Lynn Kough.

Join the Fun

If you want to meet new friends, learn how to quilt or improve your quilting skills, please join us at our next meeting.  We have monthly meetings (except July and December) with speakers who expand our knowledge, Show and Tell to show off our latest accomplishments, and, of course, the companionship of other quilters.

Programs

Programs are scheduled for each of our monthly meetings.  These programs may be presented by guild members or guest speakers.  The programs are a chance to see and learn different techniques, new products, and expand our knowledge of quilting.

Workshops

Workshops are held frequently, usually planned around programs presented at the meeting.  The workshop may be taught by the guest speaker, or a guild member.  Dates and fees for the workshops are listed on this site's calendar and in the guild newsletter published bimonthly.

Small Groups

In addition to the monthly meetings involving the entire guild, we have many small groups that are formed around individual interests.

Biannual Quilt Show

A juried quilt show is held every other year displaying traditional and contemporary quilts in the beautiful country setting of Poricy Park.  Guild members get to have their quilts judged and shown in the four venues at the park.  A quilt challenge is also held, with viewers voting for the winners.

Dues

RRQ members join the Poricy Park Conservancy at a yearly membership fee of $35.00 per person, $25.00 for Senior Citizens (over 62), or $50.00 per family.  Your membership includes not only your Guild membership, but also membership to Poricy Park so you can enjoy the many programs offered by both.  Additional fees may be charged for guest speakers and workshops.  Poricy Park is a non-profit organization with 501 (c) 3 status.
